Baked Apple

Ingredients:

  • 2-3 tablespoon sliced almonds, or chopped walnuts
  • 4 tart eating apples, cored
  • 1 tablespoon dried cranberries or raisins
  • 2-3 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 2 teaspoon butter
  • 1-2 tablespoon water





Procedure:

1. Preheat the broiler to 375 degrees.

2. Dry meal the cut almonds in a substantial skillet just until they start to shade. Put aside in a dish.

3. With a sharp blade, cut an opening in the skin the distance around the waist of each one cored fruit. This will permit them to grow as they cook.

4. Place the fruits in a heating dish sufficiently huge to hold them. Stuff them with the dried foods grown from the ground. Shower them with the maple syrup, verifying that it gets into the emptied out center, and afterward put a nut of margarine on top of every one. Add the water to the base of the dish.

5. Heat in the focal point of the stove for 30-40 minutes or until the pieces of fruit are puffed up, delicate and caramelized on top. Give them a chance to cool for no less than 10 prior minutes serving. The pieces of fruit will crumple as they cool.

6. Serve sprinkled with the toasted almonds and with thick yogurt or dessert as an afterthought.
